Free Learn Canada is proud to partner with The Royal Alberta College (RAC) to deliver the SkillsBuild project. 

The Skills Build project will help all Canadians from varied skill levels improve their foundational and transferable skills to better prepare for and obtain an opportunity to become employed, retain employment, and pivot when required to enable them to succeed at work.

This program is ideal for individuals with multiple responsibilities who can not take time off to attend an in-class environment and wish to learn in a self-paced environment.

How to Enroll Into Our Freelearn Courses

You're just a few steps away from acquiring a new skill with our online courses. Please follow these simple steps to access your course and begin your free learning journey today.

  • Browse our course catalog and select your desired course by clicking the "Add to Cart" button.
  • Complete the checkout process by providing your email and password, then place your order. Within 10 minutes, you should receive an email with a link to access your course.
  • Click the link to start your course. Your progress will be saved automatically, allowing you to complete the course at your convenience. Please ensure that each lesson you complete is marked complete using the "Mark Complete" button.
  • Access your course anytime via the learner dashboard in the "My Account" section of the website, where you can also find your certificates and past orders.
  • Upon completion of your course, you'll receive a certificate that you can download from your learner dashboard in the "My Certificates" tab and in an email we will send to you.
  • For any additional comments/concerns or suggestions please feel free to email us info@freelearn.ca and we will try to respond as soon as possible.

I really loved the business communications course. I had taken some business courses in college, but none of them were very useful in the workplace. The SkillsBuild course was different, though - it helped me improve my written business communication skills and allowed me to explore new positions that I might not have been qualified for before.
