Join Us in Building the Future: Corporate Partners Needed for Free Learn Canada's Historic Downtown Edmonton Office Renovation
Free Learn Canada (FLC) is excited to share that we are moving our headquarters to downtown Edmonton, Alberta. This was possible through a partnership with a private entity and another not-for-profit entity, which allowed us to secure an office within a historical building. The transition of this historic building to meet our operational needs will require significant renovations, which are expected to take several months and will be labour-intensive.
We are seeking partnerships with private sector companies and certified tradespeople with skills in construction management, demolition, architecture design, tree removal, engineering, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, carpentry, flooring and drywall installers.
Free Learn Canada will purchase all necessary materials for the renovations. However, your specialized skills are essential for proper installation. Additionally, we will have a team of volunteers ready to assist with heavy lifting and follow directions as needed.
Why help us?
In recognition of your support, Free Learn Canada will provide the following:
1.) Contributors will be compensated at fair market rates for their services. Should contributors choose to donate to Free Learn Canada after receiving payment, a Charitable Tax Receipt for the donation amount will be issued, as determined by our financial controller. (This helps us hire more trades 🙂
2.) Free access to Royal Alberta College’s Blue Seal Certification Program, a value of $900 (Individuals must already obtain their Red Seal Certificate.)
3.) Permanent recognition on a commemorative plaque displayed outside our new office.
4.) Lunches will be provided daily for all workers and volunteers.
If you can help us, help others in our mission to provide free job and educational training to marginalized Canadians, or if you know someone who can help us (and receive a tax break, free education, and be immortalized on a plaque), please share our information; we welcome all calls.
Call 780-887-4973 and speak with Perry, or fill out this form, and someone will connect with you.
We thank you for your help, and as you are aware, renovations will be planned to be in sequence with other trades.
